One month before the wedding
If you have not already done so, let us know your final choice of hymns.
Also, let us have all the following information (for each of you) that goes on the marriage certificate (sorry, we didn't design it, it's the law!)
Make sure you get all this information accurate, as once it's on the certificate, it's permanent.
- your age on the day of the wedding (work this out carefully! how old are you today? do you have a birthday before the wedding?)
- your occupation (as it will appear on the wedding certificate - and think about what the business does, not just your role within it)
- your address (in case it has changed)
- your father's full name and occupation (or previous occupation if no longer working) - and let us know if he is retired or has died
You should send all this information by email to the vicar (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Once I have received it, I'll get back to you to try to arrange a final meeting before the big day.
If you are not living locally, let me know when you are going to be around.
It is now a legal requirement from the Home Office that I see both your passports before the wedding day, to confirm your identities. If I have not already seen them, you must bring them to this final meeting. If either of you does not have a passport, let me know, as there is an alternative list of identity documents that you can use, and we will need to arrange for you to bring these instead.
